Privacy Policy

How S9 Studio collects, uses, and protects personal information when you visit our website or work with us.

S9 Studio (“S9 Studio,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through s9studio.com and related pages (the “Site”), how we use and share it, and the choices and rights available to you, including rights under U.S. state privacy laws.

Information we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you and run our business.

  • Information you give us. When you use our partnership form, email us, or book a call, we receive details such as your name, company, email address, and the project information you choose to share.
  • Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider and the services we use may record technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the date and time of your visit.
  • Information from third parties. If you schedule a call through Calendly, we receive the details you enter there. Calendly’s own privacy policy applies to that service.

We do not knowingly collect sensitive personal information, such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, or health information, and we ask that you do not send it to us.

How we use information

  • To reply to inquiries, prepare proposals, and schedule meetings.
  • To deliver, manage, and invoice for client projects.
  • To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
  • To send occasional updates about our work, only where you have asked for them. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We share information only with:

  • Service providers who help us run our business, such as website hosting, email, scheduling (Calendly), and font delivery (Google Fonts). They may use the information only to provide services to us.
  • Professional advisers such as lawyers and accountants, when needed.
  • Authorities when required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of S9 Studio, our clients, or others.
  • A successor business if S9 Studio is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

Cookies and similar technologies

Our Site uses a small amount of browser storage to remember preferences such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for details.

Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, Oregon, and other states with consumer privacy laws, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use it.
  • Access and receive a copy of your personal information.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or its use for targeted advertising. We do not do these things.
  • Not be treated differently for exercising any of these rights.

To make a request, email hi@s9studio.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your request using the information you provide and respond within the time required by law, generally 45 days. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision.

California notice

In the past 12 months we have collected the following categories of personal information described in the California Consumer Privacy Act: identifiers (such as name and email address), professional information (such as company and role), and internet activity (such as basic site usage data). We collect them from you directly and from the services described above, for the business purposes described in this policy. We have not sold or shared personal information, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Because we do not sell or share personal information or run targeted advertising, there is nothing for a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal to switch off. We will honor these signals as required by law if our practices change.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy. Inquiry details are typically kept for up to two years. Client project records are kept for as long as required for contractual, tax, and legal purposes.

How we protect information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

Our Site and services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
